description
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016, Le Corbusier’s Capitol Complex in Chandigarh has garnered renewed global attention. Conceived in 1951 to symbolize a newly independent nation embracing modernity, the Complex includes the Legislative Assembly building, where this striking conference table was originally used.
Evoking the solemnity and civic purpose of its setting, the table features a base composed of two bold, sculptural solid wood supports, defined by their distinctive “corns entrecroisées” (interlaced horns) form. A glass top is offered in various sizes, enhancing the table’s contemporary versatility.
