Inspired by the expansive skyscraper windows that frame breathtaking cityscapes, Van Duysen envisions inviting seating that blends comfort with cosmopolitan sophistication. The design features blade-like extruded steel legs, supporting a sleek base on which low, rectangular backrests, upholstered in textile or leather, align seamlessly with plush seat cushions of equal thickness.

Octave offers open elements, allowing for the creation of chaises longues and ottomans, which can be integrated into compositions or used as freestanding pieces, making them ideal for central spaces within a room.

A masterful play of geometric lines and modular flexibility, Octave enables infinite configurations—linear, angular, or uniquely asymmetrical, the latter thanks to trapezoidal connecting elements that add a distinctive, contemporary appeal.

Vincent Van Duysen was born in 1962, in Lokeren, Belgium and graduated in architecture at the Higher Institute of Architecture Sint-Lucas, in Ghent. From 1986 to 1989 he worked in Milan and Brussels.
