Jan Plecháč and Henry Wielgus designed the Neverending Glory chandeliers by rotating the silhouette around its own axis, creating a striking interplay of form and light. The large glass pieces, requiring enormous wooden moulds, are so demanding to produce that larger versions would be impossible. Within each silhouette, observers can recognize the iconic chandeliers of five of the world’s most eminent concert halls and theatres: La Scala in Milan, Palais Garnier in Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Estates Theatre in Prague, and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
