Ben van Berkel, born in 1957 in Utrecht, studied arcitecture at Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In 1987 he got a diploma at Architectural Association in London. After that, he worked for Zaha Hadid in London and Santiago Calatravy in Zurich. In 1988, together with Caroline Bos, he opened his own architecture studio in Amsterdam called van Berkel & Bos Architectuurbureau, later called UN Studio (UN for United Net). He taught at Columbia...
