Architect: Jestico + Whiles
At the Vienna House Andel´s Prague Hotel located in Prague´s Smíchov you will find newly reconstructed bar Oscar´s. Original design is aiming to attract not only hotel guest but passers-by as well.
In charge of the reconstruction was the British-Czech studio Jestico + Whiles, which reconstructed the entire hotel back in 2002 as well. The result of their work is a truly bold design in an industrial spirit that combines elements of concrete, wood and plexiglass. The color tone in red, blue and black is based on the typical combination that the Oscar´s concept uses in other bars across Europe.
The Oscar's bar is dominated by a massive wooden table with red armchairs for up to 10 people. Above it, a lamp hovers, behind whose organic shape stands the studio Jestico + Whiles itsefl. Inside the bar you will find Smile bar stool and dining chairs by Andreu World, Afteroom bar chairs by Menu or Officina chairs from Magis.
