Black and white apartment in Karlín

Apartments and villas

Architect: Ivanka Kowalski

The interior in a black and white combination is complemented by sophisticated design elements, thanks to which it creates a stylish and cozy space. This is the final form of a duplex Karlín apartment, on the furnishing of which designer Ivanka Kowalski collaborated with Konsepti.

The glass facade with anthracite frames led the designer to the black and white toning of the entire apartment. The dominant feature of the living room is an atypically designed staircase made of subtle black lacquered sheet metal, under which there is a snow-white sofa complemented by the iconic UP 50 armchair from B&B Italia. Not to be overlooked, in the living area is the elegant minimalist kitchen Xila from the Italian manufacturer Boffi. It is in black matt finnishing, has a ceramic worktop and is equipped with Gaggenau appliances. On the same floor as the living room there is also a master bedroom with a wardrobe and a very original glass bathroom. "Both bathrooms, on the lower and upper floors, are designed in the same way - in a combination of Carrara marble, white squeegee and cast white floor," describes the bathroom Ivanka Kowalski.

Ivanka Kowalski collaborated with designer Ondřej Rusňák to create the interior. The interior was also equipped with furniture and lighting from brands such as MDF Italia, MOROSO, Baxter, B&B Italia, DePadova or Gubi.
