Wangen was born in Germany in 1962 and got his architecture degree from the Munich Technical University.
In 1995 he designed Attila - a revolutionary folding chair which later became part of the Neue Sammlung in Munich and the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.
He is best known for his K series kitchen designs for Boffi. These monolithic kitchen blocks with sliding tops are recognized for their seamless integration of cutting-edge technology with clean, streamlined aesthetics, making them a staple in luxury home design.
