This re-issue by Molteni&C is based on Ponti’s original drawings from the archives. Featuring a sleek brass frame, it is available in a two-tone white-blue leather or the Punteggiato fabric, designed by Ponti for Rubelli in 1934. This fabric modernizes the traditional velvet-weaving technique with a contemporary pattern of staggered disks in varying color gradients.
Presented at the 2012 Salone del Mobile, the D.153.1 is a key piece in the Gio Ponti Collection, celebrating his timeless design vision.
